The Internet is a vast resource for grief support. The following websites offer information and support for those who are grieving.

At www.beyondindigo.com, you'll find personal stories by others who are grieving. You can post a memorial or submit your own story. The site also offers message boards and e-mail newsletters. The "find a buddy" section allows you to connect with others who are grieving.

At www.griefnet.org, you can participate in e-mail groups or create a memorial for your loved one. The site also offers articles on grief and an on-line counseling service. You'll also find a site specifically for kids who are grieving.

The site www.widownet.org was created by a widower for widows and widowers. This site has chat rooms, e-mail lists, message boards and discussion groups.

AARP offers grief support on their site www.aarp.org/griefandloss. They have articles on grief and tips for helping children who are grieving. They also offer e-mail newsletters and publications you can order free of charge.

At www.about.com you can search on the word grief, and the site will connect you to articles and resources to help you understand and cope with the stages of grief and loss.
