Do you know any therapy dogs who would like to bring their owners to visit hospice patients?
AutumnBridge Hospice has offered pet therapy to our patients for the past two years, and we are seeking to expand our program with new pet therapy volunteers.
Pet therapy volunteers have the opportunity to provide a unique experience offering touch for calming and relaxation to hospice patients and their family members.
We provide training on hospice care for new volunteers to increase their comfort level and provide them with the knowledge needed. We also assist with scheduling visits at times that are most convenient to them.
